These graphics were created to depict the location of grantees and distribution of funding of the COVID-19 Response Business Development Grant. The Working Lands Enterprise Initiative was able to fund a total of 16 businesses, all over the state of Vermont, totaling in over $250,000 in financial assistance. These funds were general fund dollars, previously unallocated by the Working Lands Enterprise Board (WLEB) in Fiscal Year 2020, and a small portion of investment came from the Dairy Business Innovation Center. Because of the unexpected arrival of the pandemic in March of 2020, the WLEB acted swiftly to create a program to support business needs and the application launched in April, with awards granted to businesses in June of 2020.
