Lynn Ellen Schimoler, VT Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets
Lynn Ellen Schimoler is Senior Agricultural Business Development, Working Lands Program Manager, working closely with the Working Lands Enterprise Initiative Board, and Grantees. Schimoler has over 25 years of experience in the retail food industry, most recently working with City Market/Onion River Co-op as Director of Purchasing and Merchandising. She has worked for independents in CA, NH, and VT, and collaborated with National Cooperatives Grocers on category management, store operations and product development for Co-ops in New England. Schimoler has a BA in dance from Bennington College, and enjoys a part-time Dance Lecturer role at the University of Vermont.
Diana Ferguson, VT Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets
Diana is a Grants Specialist, helping to administer grants and provide overall support for the Working Lands Enterprise Initiative. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion with a minor in Consumer Foods from the University of Georgia. From ten years in the nonprofit sector, Diana brings expertise in resource development, organizational management, and program coordination covering topics such as food accessibility, youth engagement, and a range of community health issues. In her free time, you can find Diana hiking, swimming, hunting for wild mushrooms, catching a live music show, or visiting a Vermont farmers’ market.
Melissa Moon, VT Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets
Melissa is the Grants Administrator for the Working Lands Enterprise Initiative at the Vermont Agency of Agriculture. She works closely with each grant recipient to guide them through the entire life cycle of their grant and cheerleading them toward project success while navigating state regulatory ins and outs. When not in the office, Melissa can be found in the woods, informally educating others on Vermont’s ecosystems, flora and geology, and wild crafting fiddleheads, ramps, a wide variety of fungi, and medicinal herbs.
